Hummingbirds often sit on branches as they rest from their labors for ten or twenty minutes. Sometimes they even close their eyes and appear to be napping. This hummingbird is a frequent summer visitor to our backyard, but even in winter we see this bird occasionally. No flowers then, but they do eat insects.
